AT GLEN TANAR BALLROOM
I am so excited to share Lewis and Tolu's wedding at Glen Tanar Aboyne, Aberdeenshire, Scotland with you!
Lewis and Tolu met at their local church and for their first date, they went for a quarantine picnic.
They’d been together for 1 year & 9 months before tying the knot.
Their proposal story is so special. Lewis proposed at Highams Hill park. Tolu was tricked into believing that her friend; Nicole (also a photographer) had a cancelled shoot.
Nicole asked if she would be up for doing a shoot, to make up for it and so that she wouldn't have wasted money renting a camera. Nicole and James were 'running late' and we went for a walk, and Lewis proposed by a tree. Nicole and James arrived shortly afterwards.
Their wedding mood had a warm colour palette inspired by the Scottish woodland, with rich greens, browns, reds, creams and tweeds, with nods to Lewis’ Scottish background and I could not be more excited to photograph it.
When I asked these two if there was a specific moment they knew they were the one for each other, In Lewis’ words; “Driving home at night after a dinner date, listening to music and thinking about her. I realised that I loved her more than anything in the world (apart from Jesus).”
Their perfect date night is Cute cosy café, Books, good conversation, a cheeky crossword. I also love that for fun, these two go for long drives, talking and listening to music.
The wedding day was a cosy and warm affair in Hills of Aberdeen with friends and family followed by a Honeymoon in Florence.
